Well since the last report I have been able to get out a few times and fishing continues to be fair to good.

First trip was on the 17th October where we went 1 for 2 with a fish of about 14kg

Madeira Wahoo

Next trip was on the 25th and was the first time this Wahoo season I failed to find a single bite, not even a zip on the reels. Tough day.

26th and dispite not getting a bite the day before I made the call to go back to the Desertas as the place was full of bait and the signs looked good. Paid off as withing an hour of arriving the lures were getting bit! We finished the day 2 for 5 with the ones in the boat going 21 and 22kg. Just goes to show that whats bad one day can come good the next. Glad I went back to the Desertas.

20+kg Wahoo in madeira

28th and back to the Desertas. Tough day today as the swell was coming from the SW and the wind swinging in every direction it could! Still managed 1 for 4 on Wahoo and 3 for 7 on the Skipies. Thankfully having one of the largest charter boats in the fleet enables me to take the clients to the best fishing grounds in safety and comfort.
