Onboard the Atlantic Explorer, we use Penn International and Shimano Rods and Reels.

For the big Blue Marlin which visit these Atlantic waters each year we fish 4 Penn International 130lb class outfits. We fill our reels with IGFA pre-tested dacron with a topshot of pre-tested Sufix 130 Key Lime line and a strong wind-on leader.

For Tuna we fish with 50 or 80lb class outfits, again loaded with pre-tested dacron and 80lb line with a Florocarbon leader.

For Wahoo we use 20lb class outfits loaded with either 16 or 20lb line

All our tackle is from Leadertec in the UK and Grand Slam in Jupiter Beach, Florida. We have a large selection of big game lures from Marlin Magic / Gary Eoff, Black Bart, Joe Yee, Legend Lures and Halco to name but a few.
